Public transportation

Berlin has many types of public transportation. There are lots of bus lines and several tram lines, mostly in the eastern half of the city. There is also a subway network, as well as S-Bahn city trains that go all over Berlin and the surrounding area.

The official hotel, the dinner party venue, and the training halls are close to the Hermannstr. S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations. There is also a bus station closer to the main training hall. To get to Hermannstraße, take S-Bahn trains on lines S41 or S42. Both run on the circle line and differ only in direction. Another option is the U8 subway line.

Several ticket options are available, including single-trip tickets, multi-trip tickets, and various tourist tickets. It is important to know that there are three tariff zones, and normal tickets cover either the inner zones, the outer zones, or all three. Berlin Airport is in Zone C, and Hermannstraße Station is in Zone A, so you need a ticket that covers all three zones!
Additionally, the single-trip ticket is only valid for two hours and only in one direction. You are not allowed to go to your destination and back, also if you are still in the two-hour period. Another type of single-trip ticket is valid for three stations on the S-Bahn or subway or 6 stations on trams or busses, but changes permitted and without stop.

Please take a look at the website of one of Berlin’s public transportation companies. There, you can search for connections, check the different ticket types, and find apps to buy tickets and/or find directions. This app is the simplest and is only for buying tickets. If you want to find and use e-scooters and cars in addition to public transportation, this app works quite well but requires registration. You may need to register for all apps.
There are still ticket machines, but some only accept cash.

Dinner party

The dinner party will take place on August 1, 2026, at the Estrel (Google Maps).

There will be an opening, good food, some entertaiment including speeches and of course lots of fun with good friends.
Dress code is smart casual.

Please let us know in advance if you are planning to perform or do anything else.

Additional activities

ℹ️ Some shops, restaurants, cafés, and bars may only accept cash.

In addition to a guided tour, we recommend several activities to get the full Berlin experience. We will continue to add to this list. There are several websites with good advises besides: visit berlin

There are so many more sights, hidden treasures all over Berlin, cultural places, clubs, theaters – impossible to list them all.
